The start of the school year usually carries joy and anticipation. Yet this year, for many families in Israel, it also comes with heavy financial strain. Affording school supplies, backpacks, and books - things every child should have - becomes an almost impossible challenge when a parent is away on extended reserve duty or recovering from injury.
Together with our partner, Rabbi Leyzer Klein, we identified 24 such families —homes where one or both parents, often the fathers who serve and the mothers who care for the household and children, have had their livelihoods disrupted by the war. Families carrying the weight of sacrifice, yet struggling to meet the simplest needs of their children.

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to step in. We distributed 9,000 NIS (approximately €2,290) among these families at this critical moment - so that their children could walk into school with dignity, and their parents could breathe a little easier.
Your solidarity makes this possible. Thank you for standing with us.
Below are pictures of children whom we equipped with basic school supplies.
