Dear Friends of Shalem,
A quick update about more supplies delivered to the front lines with your generous support.
On the Northern front, we are happy to update you that Max’s unit (699 Commando reserve unit) has received the tactical backpacks we purchased. The team reported that combined with the shoes and helmets we delivered in the past, the backpacks significantly improved the squad’s comfort. Their work involves carrying heavy loads for long distances and the quality of the generic equipment they were given was insufficient.
On the southern front, Hapak Machat 89 (which we hosted the BBQ for in June) received the tactical boots we sent them. This often-underfunded unit performs challenging and important missions, and we are proud to be able to support them with your generous support.
During July, we intend to continue supplying the troops and already have quite a few “orders” from units for helmets, tactical glasses, fire-repellent uniforms, and other items. Sadly, the demand for equipment and the number of soldiers needing support during various stages of recovery is rising.
We would appreciate any more donations and now allow for recurring card payments.
