Dear friends,
We celebrated the sixth night of Hanukkah in the warm company of the Ec Chajim community. Led by Rabbi David Maxa and chairwoman Anna Nosková, this precious Prague Jewish community has been supporting Shalem since its founding.
We are grateful for the trust and Ec Chajim’s firm support of Israel.
During the evening filled with nice encounters, inspiring conversations, and sweet sufganiyot, we remembered the Israeli hostages and prayed for their swift return and the safety of the IDF soldiers.
Proceeds raised in the raffle were, together with the financial gift of the Liberec community, dedicated to the IDFWO.
Your donations help make it possible to organize OTZMA camps for the IDF orphans, such as the one that took place during this Hanukkah holiday and was attended by 200 orphans. Bellow you can see video from the camp and a short message by Tamar Zuntz who attended our Prague camp back in 2019, now she’s volunteering as young leader. Sadly, last year, she became her niece’s and nephew’s guide as they tragically lost their father.
