Dear Friends of Shalem,
We want to share an update from our friends at Yahalom. The helmets we supplied them a few weeks ago were used by the team responsible for the detonation of one of the largest attack tunnels from Rafah. You can see the pictures below.
The tunnel was part of a 3-kilometer-long network of tunnels which included power devices, attack piers, storage units, and more.
According to this article and Video (apologies it's in Hebrew), the tunnel was used for a terrorist attack last month, costing the life of Sergeant Major Zeed Mazarib Z”L from the Bedouin village Zarzir.
Our contacts have mentioned that the shoes and helmets provide a safety and comfort upgrade to their work. This is yet another reminder of how important your donations are.
