Hospital Visit – Sheeba

Dear friends,

Last week, David and Ory had the privilege to visit our injured soldiers at the Tel Hashomer hospital in the North of Tel Aviv. Despite witnessing unbearable tragedies, the departments of head and orthopedic injuries are filled with endless optimism, unbreakable spirit, and miraculous recoveries.

While Tomer (Below) was stationed in the North, a building collapsed on him and his officer, Dor Zimel, of blessed memory, after a missile hit followed by a drone explosion. Sadly, Dor sustained fatal injuries, but Tomer managed to crawl out. While battling for his own life, Tomer saved two soldiers who drove him away as the location they were stationed in was hit instantly.

The fallen officer’s lungs were donated and received by Kfir (Below) of the armored corps, who sustained injuries after his tank was hit while operating in Khan Younis. Kfir is on his long way to recovery and is awaited by his wife and little daughter.

With your generous help, Dave and Ory were able to distribute 40 cash gifts of 500 NIS (circa 120 EUR) to those soldiers who have been in the hospital the longest and the hospitalization has put a great financial strain on the family.

Attached below, you will see some pictures from the visit that overwhelmed us with emotions and reassured us that we must continue in our efforts.

As always, thank you for your continued support.

Am Israel Chai

Anna, Ory & David
