About the organization
The IDF Widows & Orphans Organization was founded in 1991 to strengthen and empower widows and orphans of Israeli security services. Its activities include direct support of families, camps for children, retreats for widows, leadership seminars, bar/bat mitzva trips, professional development, and much more.
Why do we support the IDFWO?
Our vision is to support the whole (“Shalem”) circle of brave service men and women. Therefore, we must include the families of our fallen heroes. Over the years we have been impressed by the IDFWO’s dedication and care for the unfortunately substantial and growing number of widows and orphans, from Israel's security forces.
Our past activities:
We have been supporters of the IDFWO for the past five years. In 2019 we organized a Young Leadership Seminar in Prague for teenage orphans.
In 2024, Shalem’s first live event was a charity art auction in Prague. With generous help of our local donors and supporters, we were able to raise over 80,000 EUR.
Our commitment to the IDFWO remains unchanged and we intend to intensify our involvement with the organization.
